Realism and modernism can easily be related to each other. Although they have their similarities, the difference for me is that modernism focuses more on the human conscious, as realism focuses more on the centralization of “everyday life.” Out of the plays mentioned, I am most familiar with Death of a Salesman and I can see the theme focusing on the human conscious surfacing.
