Brooklyn Market: Woodstock of Eating

Smorgasburg is like a festival for food in an outdoors market held every Saturday in an empty lot on Williamsburg waterfront. It has more than 50 vendors selling handmade food and another 40 more that sell kitchen gears and pantry items. There are all kind of food from all different cultures. There is fried food, hot dogs, sandwiches, noodles, seafood (raw and cooked), frozen bananas, some Japanese appetizers, French desserts, and more. Prices range from $1 to $15, credit cards accepted by some vendors. You can eat standing up or at tables set up by the vendors or in the park. The location is between North Sixth and Seventh Streets on the East River (close to Kent Ave) Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It opens every Saturday 9 A.M. to 5 P.M through November 19.
