How does being Asian American and the stigma surrounding it affect performance in school?

What is your connection to rhetorical situation and why are you uniquely placed to write about it?

As an Asian, I have also struggled with mental health and hope that other people can get the help that I needed as a high school student. The world would be a better place if people were more compassionate towards all races and mental health resources were more widespread.

Where do you imagine your writing “existing”? (newspaper, magazine, youtube, personal blog)

I imagine a YouTube video would be the best place for this to exist, since it would be easier spread and more accessible to my target audience.

Who is your target audience?

My target audience is Asians and students like me, as well as schools and colleges.

What form will your writing take? (Research paper, narrative, letter, script.)

My writing will take form as an informative video.

Why is this form the most effective way to communicate to your target audience?

This form is the most effective way to communicate to my target audience because it is easy to consume and spread.

What is the value you’re trying to impart on your audience?

I want the audience to know that they are not alone, and people to realize that the quiet and well behaved are sometimes the ones that need the most help.
