I decided to go for an infographic instead of a video because I believe that will best showcase the information I want to share.
This is my first draft, where I was trying to find a good yet interesting way to organize my information:
Here’s the final draft, with colors. I wanted to make it more clear that this was aimed towards AAPI:
A lot of the text is currently WIP, as with the small details. However, please leave any feedback for readability and organization, as well as whether the diversity of the term “Asian” is shown.
Hi Sophia,
Thank you for sharing your current draft of your research-based creative. After seeing where I could take a research question, it has allowed me to depart from writing the 2000 word essay and maybe trying something creative. I love how you showed the process of first the actual base of the infographic and then the integration of color right after. My only concern is how you will fit 5 sources worth of information on the infographic, and for a viewer to understand the research question and the answer you end up at. Maybe clearly stating the question in a box, the thesis and the answer you find at the end would be beneficial for a review to understand your research process. Also, maybe integrating a small subsection detailing your research so the reader has a background into your topic can also be helpful in viewing. Overall I love the idea and I will be drawing inspiration for my own project!
Sophia,
I absolutely love this idea! It’s so creative and different from other pieces. I love the touch that you put into it! I love the colors and the way you formatted everything. Your artistic skills are very amazing! I’m super excited to see the end product.
My only concern would be to possibly make it so there could be more information on the final piece? Possibly make it 60 percent info and 40 percent art. Just so it could be informative and clearly present the research that you made. But other than that, everything looks wonderful and you did a very impressive job!
