Vitamin D Ineffective for Preventing Osteoporosis
Contrary to popular belief, the intake of vitamin D supplements does not help in preventing osteoporosis. A recent research involving 4,000 healthy middle aged participants has shown that the supplements showed no increase in bone density in the spine, neck, hip, and forearm. This goes to disprove the idea that vitamin D increases bone density in healthy middle aged people.
