The Challenge of Diabetes for Doctor and Patient

Diabetes is often diagnosed when patients with high risks are screened for obesity, or a family member with the condition, or other common occurring diseases. Over the last two decades diabetes has become one of the most common diseases. The good news is that diabetes has recently been on a decline in some cities among children. Another positive is that along with coaching and a change in life-style it was possible for adults with obesity and pre-diabetes. However, changes in life-style did not reduce the risk of a stroke and heart attacks. It has become increasingly difficult to keep a healthy life-style when junk food has become cheaper than the healthier alternative. Although it can be challenging for those with obesity and diabetes those changes will lead to an improvement in the quality of life they will live for the remainder of their lives.
