You’re the face of the company, as well as putting a lot of pressure on you.
Anthony Colon, 50, a Martial Arts Instructor from Elmhurst, Queens, decided to become a Sensei to empower people to achieve things they thought were impossible. Colon has been training since 1978 and became a junior instructor in 1983, he has continued to mold his students to become powerful not only by physical strength but mentally as well.
He has been training and teaching all over New York City yet seems to always return to Queens, many of his students are from Queens which make it easy for them to find him and attend his classes. Colon claims, “Queens is close to home, convenient, plenty of traffic for new students, tons of open space to train outdoors during the warmer seasons”.
Colon advised that he hopes “People who are thinking to dive into entrepreneurship understand that they need to have a business plan for starters, do things daily even if they are small achievements do something. Save money aside for the tough months as well as for tax season”. Small business’ get hit a lot harder with tax rates and that is something that many are unaware of, meanwhile it can either make or break your business.
Colon teaches starting from the ages of 3 to his oldest students are 60 years old. His studio is currently located on Queens Boulevard, a busy area where many walk by and become intrigued to give the Tri State Martial Arts Institute a chance.
