Does Video Game Violence Translate to The Real World?

In Ferguson’s book, it states there was very little evidence of correlation between video game violence and aggression or violent behavior. Reviews of these reports by the Secret Service and Department of Education, as well as independent researchers, has led to the conclusion that video game violence is not predictive of real world extreme scenarios like school shootings.

A professor of psychology at Middlesex University, Dr. Mark Coulson has stated,

the long-term consequences of crime and actual violent behaviour, there is just no evidence linking violent video games with that.

Dr. Coulson has also said that although violent games like Call of Duty may get you “pumped,” it does not lead to an individual going out to mug someone.
