Possible Clues in Fatal Chase, but No Motive
WASHINGTON DC – A woman named Miriam Carey was fatally shot in a police chase in the nation’s capital after she passed a barricade near the White House and hitting a member of the Secret Service. Afterwards, it was found that there were no weapons or explosive in the car.
Later, it was found that she was prescribed to antipsychotics meant for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression. Carey’s friends and acquaintances said that she behaved strangely but was mostly harmless. Apparently she thought that she was a prophet who was being spied on by President Obama.
The Capitol Police and Secret Service claim to have thought that this was an act of terrorism when they shot her. She had been racing down Pennsylvania Avenue towards the White House, the Capitol, and other government buildings and hit police officers and vehicles. Many people are actually trying irrationally to argue against the police about shooting this woman, especially since she could have easily been a terrorist, and obviously there was barely any time to ponder over whether or not she was a terrorist.
