Journal #22, personal post #12

Although, the library information secession wasn’t at the library, I think it was jast effective in our usual room. I’ve used databases before, but the Baruch page seems more convienent. You don’t have to choose a sources before you search or any other twisted method that leaves you frustrated. It’s so much easier here compared to other systems. I appreciated the session. It was a refresher for the most part, but effective.

I also liked what I learned about google. I probably won’t use the quotation skill for normal searches, but for google scholar, it’s going to be very effective. My research relies heavily on a particular aspect of Huck Finn and shifting google’s search toward that aspect while knowing to keep it relevant to Huck Finn is key to effective researching.

My next step is to dissect the topic into aspects that govern the boundaries of my topic. I want to find what co-relates to the topic and what is background information I have to explain to the reader. It is my job to let the reader know why I am presenting about the towns in Huck Finn.
