A Remarkable Moment In US Volleyball History

Bald. Funny. Aggressive. Winners. This is not a random combination of words, but the description of the national American volleyball team as they topped the Canadians in a tight match which took place in Barcelona in 1992. Although a game had been played, most of the attention was drawn by the appearance of the American team:  As a gesture for one of their players, Bob Samuelson, who’s bold hairdo was a result of a rare skin condition, the entire team had shaved their heads to support the player and team unity. The overwhelmed player remained professional and preferred to stay focused on the game, and left the viewers to see how the Americans dominate volleyball the same way they dominate razors.
