Manhattan’s Koreatown was the place I played all night long when I first moved to New York. Located on West 32nd Street in the heart of Manhattan, between 6th Avenue and Broadway. It is now called Korea Way. When you come here, you can feel all of the Korean culture, from Korean cosmetics to books and Korean style karaoke.
It’s incredibly expensive, as it’s in the center of Manhattan. For example, there is a famous alcoholic beverage called Soju in Korea. In Korea, you can buy it for 1 ~ 2 dollars, but it sells for nearly 20 dollars in a Manhattan Korean restaurant and bar.
Korean cosmetics, karaoke, and barbecue are definitely worth a try!
I want to introduce my favorite Korean restaurant today. This restaurant is called Cho Dang Go, located on 38th Street, just off Koreatown. This is a traditional Korean tofu restaurant. It was recently introduced to the Michelin guide as well. It’s really delicious even if you eat it everyday. While living in New York, there was no place where I thought it was true Korean food. This place was really the best. I highly recommend visiting with friends and family.
