Just recently the American citizens were given a very bitter financial pill to swallow. To make it go down abit better I heard alot of sweetners were added like caps on manager salaries and the like. It kind of reminds me of when I was a kid and I used to be given code liver oil that tasted very bad but it did cure you. They later came with orange flavored ones but it still tasted bad.
I hope the bailout finally cures or at least repairs some of the financial mess. The best thing about it is the joint unity of the Republican and Democrats to pass it through
Yea this bailout seems unfortunate for taxpayers but i personally feel there isnt any other way to deal with this crisis. It sucks that us taxpayers have to bail out these greedy wall street execs who made risky investments and business decisions. I would like for them to pay for their greed as many other americans would as well, but it would affect the country a great deal to let all these financial institutions go bankrupt and fail. As for these “sweetners” or as their often reffered to as “pork”, i think they are just a stupid way to sway votes in favor of the bill. I mean you have millions of dollars in tax breaks to companies that produce wooden arrows and even speed racing companies. huh? Just doesnt make any sense.
Do we really believe there is no other way to solve this problem or are they just making us believe that this is the only way? It just doesn’t make any sense!!! only time will tell.
