I read this article and I found it to be interesting. What interests me the most is how people could get away with this for such a long time. I mean how can they be making so much money and when they applied for welfare and food stapms the authority didn’t even check that they were not eligible. This just clearly shows that the authorities do not monitor well enough the people they give benefits to.
Its a shame and they should be ordered to return all the money they stole. I’m guessing that at some point in their lives they may have needed the food stamps but when life became better they were still addicted to food stamps and probably had withdrawal effects when they tried to leave it.
But on the same breadth, what do you guys think of the AIG CEO’s who after being bailed out where seeing at an ultra expensive retreat spending more than $400,000 of taxpayers money. Is that cheating and should they return the money.
Everyone almost gets away with cheating on welfare..
The best example would be working under the books to avoid taxes
People cheat the welfare system all the time, some avoid getting caught while others(like these individuals in the article) get caught and suffer the consequences. Let them serve as examples for others who try to be slick.
