The welfare queen isn’t the only one cheating the system

I found this earlier today.  It just goes against alot of the stereotypes in the books and articales we’ve read in class.

Welfare cheating has become a business for some people. People who would be making more than enough are stealing from the government, because they work for cash busniess it’s pretty unfair.

Welfare cheats, come in all different colors and walks of life.

With the American welfare system being as ridiculous as it is, I can see why people choose to cheat it. It’s just a shame that poorer people aren’t in the same playing field as these “cheaters.”

When you run a business where cash is involved, you can always cheat the system, you can get tax returns for gas, tolls, food expenses, practically anything as long as you always report a loss. One day in the coming future, the tax-accountants in our class will be helping rich business owners cheat the system, just as people are doing today.

This article kind of makes me angry because i dont understand how ppl could be so greedy. You’re making almost 100 grand a year and you decide that you want help so you lie and fight for welfare. The ppl that don’t really need it are the ones getting the most aid. The article said that one family received $300,000 of aid in 5 years. The ones that are really struggling have to work so hard to make ends meet even with welfare, yet these families decided that they don’t want to pay for health care etc. they already milked the system of $300,000 they deserve to be put in jail. But now its sad because now their children are going to have to suffer because of them.

It’s sad how people take advantage of the welfare system which was meant to help the poor and people who desperately need any form of aid they can get. I think these invidiuals should pay for their mistakes, they should go to jail, or be subjected to community service, something that will make them think of their unjustice and cheating actions. I mean some of these people make more than any of us do in 2 years or so, they own houses, companies and they even go on annual vacations. Its pitiful to see someone so well off take advantage of a system that is suppose to help people who are in need of food stamps, medicad, etc…

People want to avoid paying taxes-doesnt matter if you make 100$ a day or a 1000$. I can see why someone would want to lie about their taxes-its not right but, its common.
