The Return of A Superstar

According to a recent article from Bleacherreport.com, Derrick Rose is hoping to return fully healthy and ready to play; but not just like any regular player returning from injury. He’s hoping to return to MVP form and exceed expectations for this upcoming season. Here at Baruch, I’ve noticed a huge basketball culture, with many students conversing about who is going to win the championship and who will win MVP. Sports has always been something that brings people together and I’ve been able to make connections with people that I otherwise would not have been able to connect with. I believe that many people who attend college come in with the mindset to do the best that they can (mind the cliche). This is the same for athletes like Derrick Rose who strive to be the best at what they do. I believe Derrick Rose will return to form immediately and if few preseason games are just a showing of good health, then there is plenty more to come from the former MVP. Derrick Rose has been the subject of many of these conversations that I’ve heard or partaken in, and many believe that he will in fact give the reigning MVP, Lebron James, a run for his money this season.
