One thing that many college students have in common is the struggle of making time for food; sometimes we’re lucky if we’re even able to get a meal in during the school day at all. During the times when we’re not forced to stay within the restrictions of our campus and resort to Chipotle, a deli, or halal cart food; there’s a restaurant that I think everyone should look into. Sweet Chick is a restaurant popularly known for its signature chicken and waffles. I would always end up walking by the restaurant whenever I was in Williamsburg and was tempted to walk in. I finally ended up going and I was definitely not let down. I never realized how well the combination of chicken and waffles really was but I loved it. For those who do not prefer meat, there are other options on their menu to choose from. Aside from the Williamsburg location there is another one in the city over in Ludlow. I’ve been to both locations but the one in Williamsburg is still my favorite. I definitely would recommend going if you have the time and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I have.

Hi Bren!
I agree, it is very difficult to find a good place to eat. The combination of chicken and waffles seems interesting and I will look forward to trying it soon. I’ve gone to Williamsburg once, but am hoping to return to try out Sweet Chick. I am always on the lookout for new places to eat. I enjoy savoring my food. Every time I eat I try to depict the flavors in the dish. I love chicken and I love any kind of gluten good and am positive that this dish will not be a letdown. The picture you posted is lovely, the lighting and the time frame almost seems as if it was staged. The restaurant itself gives me rustic vibes. I like the transparent exterior and the overhead light that make the store front glow. There are quite of few people in the picture. Your choice to include these people might have been unintentional or not either way I believe it gives the store front liveliness. Whenever I see advertisements for a restaurants and I don’t see people there it makes me wonder if they even have clientele. If you like eating bread then I recommend trying out Don Pacos Bakery in East Harlem. Conchas is a shell shaped bread with a sugary decoration on the top, they go really well dipped in hot chocolate. Since you live in Brooklyn I recommend trying Los Hermanos on 271 Starr St. All of their food is good so I recommend everything on their menu. Overall, I really like your post and encourage you to keep everyone updated on good places to eat in the NYC area.

I think that this is very true, especially if we barely have a gap between our schedule. I feel that in order to actually eat someting we need at least an hour to eat. Even if we get something to eat it is normally fast food because their isn’t many places around Baruch that sell healthy food or solid food. I think that thief should be more plAces that sell actual food. I also think that Baruch should have more choices in their cafeteria for the people who cannot go out and get food because they do not have enough time. I feel that Baruch should invest in more things for the cafeteria. They should do this because some people do not have the time to go out and get food or they do not have the money to buy food everyday. They should have more microwave available for the people who bring food from home because depending on what time they get out of class they have to wait 30 minutes just to heat up their food.
Hey bren
I agree it is pretty tedious to find something to eat. Like you mentioned I’m forced to eat chipotle most times if not all. I actually really love chicken and waffles and am always looking for a place to eat. That looks like a cute little spot and I’m excited to try it out. It’s funny that you mention food options around campus. I think that there should be more options and more healthy options at that. We’re told to eat better but yet there are very few options. My uncle once told me if you ate somewhere new in new york city everyday it would take you several years . I want to be more adventurous when I eat and try new things. Most times I end up just bringing something from home. However with me options like this I’ll be able to eat out more often
As a fellow college student at Baruch, I agree with you on that Bren. I always find it difficult to choose what to eat because I have had a meal at every food station around the school and I believe I’m out of choices. I have been to the halal cart and the deli stores so much that they recognize me and sometimes throw in that extra white sauce or extra bacon, lol. I haven’t had chipotle yet but I don’t necessarily plan to anytime soon. I feel that there should be more diverse food stations around the school. This one time my friends and I decided to go get pancakes. We ended up walking for about 10-15mins to get to the IHOP on 14th street, in which we ended up walking back to school due to the long line outside. I plan on checking out Sweet Chick with a few friends of mine. I am a fun of both chicken and waffles but not eating it together. However I will try it since you put in a good word about it.
