The subject that I’m interested in the 3D printing industry is the Food printing, even though this field of 3D printing is not really that advance, and it can be very expensive, but I do find this awesome on how a machine can make an edible object. I’ve chose this topic because it really impress me to see how a printer can actually produce food, just like I read in the book food printing can be really helpful and beneficial for many different fields. For example, for airplanes or fast food industry or even astronauts. I think this aspect of 3D printing can affect in the world we live in, but we going to have to work harder to make this a reality and actually make it come true. Some questioner that I have in this area is what can be done to make this a reality? How can the 3D industry make this food printing cheaper?
I fin this term fascinating “Quantified Self” and It means that you would be able to update your 3D machine to your personal life, an example would be a person with diabetes, the machine itself would mix the nutrients needed for next meal. This have been applied to different objects, like watches, phones where you can input your information. I think this is a great idea on putting this term into a 3D food printer,
The following resources have helped me understand more about this topic, it gave me a good knowledge on how the world can be with 3D food printers.

I thought that this term was only about 3D machines, but in this video talks about how different devices can keep track of your body (data) measurements in different ways.

This actually been around, but I wasn’t actually thinking this as a term.

You can actually download an app to your phone that do this quantified self.

This is very interesting because I can see this happening in the future.

This expanded my imagination and made me realized how useful this 3D food printing can actually be. Not just for home.
