Week 6 Update

I finally got some work on paper this week! What I’ve got:

1- slightly tweaked logo design

2- initial designs for the outward-facing web pages (what the general public sees) — In total, this is 4 web pages: Landing Page, About, Join & Contact. I’m starting with a pretty bare-bones lay out — black and white, focus on the images, etc — in order to get the content really put together. Rather than focus on the coding and technical parts, I want to do my best to have a solid design and web content; the rest can follow. Images of those are attached.

3- The first “assignment” idea. I want to incorporate a non-profit element here, something where the members can give back using their talents. I came up with a format wherein seek partners with a non-profit who is in need of something – anything from graphic design help to something fabricated for a fundraising event – and hands it off to pairs of “seekers” to submit an idea.

Next week I want to have the internal pages designed (what the members see once they login), as well as the first assignment written out and designed.
