Weekly Walk Lunch at Canteon De Los Poyos Ft. Nelson

This week I took a walk down to Canteon De Los Poyos with my good friend nelson. When we first arrived at Canteon De Los Poyos I let Nelson choose what we were going to have since everything was in Spanish. He started by ordering Chicken, rice, beans and sweet plantains for the both of us. The chicken was tender and juicy while having crisp skin, the rice was still steaming on the plate, the beans added an even more savory taste while introducing a new texture. While the sweet plantains cut through it all serving almost as a desert. It was amazing. The music created an atmosphere that was very lively. It was fast pace something you could move to easily with a solid beat Nelson later told me it was by a popular artist named Raulin Rodriguez who nelson is a fan of in addition to another artist called El alfa with the same style. It was also apparent that the pride he spoke of was very, very real. Every Where Dominican flags were hung up around the windows,  the doorways even the bar had Dominican flags. We were also there the day a Dominican team called the aguiles played and everyone had come out to support in their black and gold jerseys with eagles adorned on them. Everyone was cheering and shouting their hearts out for their team to win and drinking together having a good time, we may have gotten in on some of the action too.
