Congratulations to Adam Sheffer one of our newest faculty members in the Mathematics Department who was awarded an NSF DMS Combinatorics grant totaling $155,359 for a period of three years. Professor Sheffer came to Baruch College this academic year from The California Institute of Technology in Pasadena.
Prof. Sheffer’s grant will allow him to explore polynomial methods and to use these methods to solve problems in discrete geometry. An important impact in his project is the opportunities of research projects for undergraduate students with various interest and its scope to encourage them to pursue careers in scientific research.
