Logical Visual Organization

This slide on a company’s history is strategically designed; linear movement along a timeline enables clear communication of a lot of information. To create sufficient room for text, items are placed alternately above and below the line. Graphics balance the empty space, and color-coding helps the audience differentiate between time periods in the company’s history.

This slide on a company’s future strategy uses a Venn diagram to clearly communicate the company’s present and future core competencies. Star icons, coupled with clear annotations, draw the audience’s attention to purposeful segments of the Venn diagram, and elegantly make a recommendation for the company’s growth (in presentation, the “our future” star can be revealed sequentially after the “we are here” star to underscore the recommendation). Additionally, the progress bar provides visual cues that situate the audience in the presentation narrative as a whole.

This slide combines graphics, arrows, and text to clearly communicate and contrast current and future strategy. Arrows signal movement from current to future strategy, as well as multi-directional movement between company focus, brand desire, and financial goals. Two different blues and consistent graphics enable the audience to easily distinguish between current and future models.
