The East Village, known for its old-school bars, many vintage shops, and coffee shops, is also a mecca for book lovers. While books can be purchased anywhere, such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble, experiences at bookstores in the East Village will be like no other.
Although running businesses in New York City itself is a challenge because of rising rents and many other factors, there are some small bookstores that lived through the time to stay with those who pine for old days in the East Village.
