Customer Assumptions

For Tut’s Cane, I had to make assumptions about my product to succeed among my target customer (my parents). One important and easy-to-test assumption is that my parents due to their injuries are unable to complete certain tasks like bending down, reaching, and stabilizing themselves that is why they need a tool like Tut’s Cane to be a pain reliever to these problems.

Secondly, I made an assumption that my tool out all the tools on the market is the best one. My design of the cane my cane significantly and meets the demands of the customer. This is an important assumption that is difficult to test as there are no other products like it on the market

Thirdly, the assumption that my parents are willing to adapt to this new solution, and they would utilize tut’s cane to complete the tasks they struggled with.

Lastly, I made the assumption that my parents prefer to choose my product over their own cane and that my product significantly improves their life which is difficult to test. Also, whether they would be better off with it? Or is it more convenient to use the cane they own,

  1. I like the way you did your assumption mapper, it is explaining everything in detail. I like your product and this will not only help the needs of your parents but also many people who have the same condition.

  2. Hey Omar, you did a great job of detailing your assumptions. I think it’s so thoughtful of you to make such a great product for your parents. I am sure they would love it.
