Online Exercise 11: People Driving Change

Objective

  • Identify, describe, and analyze a person or a group of people who are driving IT-enabled change at the Bottom Of the Pyramid (BoP)

What do you need to do?

  • Here is a google doc that has a table. Each team will identify a particular person or group of people that have effected IT-enabled change at the BoP. Describe what these people have done and analyze the impact of their work. The analysis should have the following components:
    • Objective: A short summary (perhaps a sentence or two) of what they have done.
    • Outcome and current status: How did this turn out? Positive or negative outcomes? Completed? Ongoing? Any other interesting details about their work?
  • This is a group assignment.
  • Analysis for each team should be between 200 and 400 words. You can include diagrams if you need to.
  • You should have studied/conducted research about their work with at least three different sources. Cite these sources using hyperlinks in the text of your analysis wherever relevant.

General Guidelines

  • Since the Google Doc that I have shared has edit privileges for all of you, please be careful with what you edit. Do not remove anything that other teams have input.
  • Person/people already selected by a team cannot be used by your team.
