Kasyap Patel Option#2

Option#2:
I believe public speaking will always be a huge challenge for everyone at first. It’s a skill where you have to develop overtime. I’m vocal when it’s needed it, and I’m not shy or scared to speak in public. Yes, I have my fears which is my accent and sometimes I can’t pronounce some words because English is my second language and I’m just getting use to American culture. I’ve done 2-3 presentations for my previous classes and man it was a terrible feelings. My hands gets all sweaty and my ears gets hot and I start to stutter my words. Just a horrible position to be in. However, I like to face my fears and see how far I get, if this class wasn’t required I would still have taken it because one it will help me in professional work in a long run. Now a days, you need good speaking skills to get a good position at work. Any field requires good public speaking skills. It’s an advantage to have for your career. Having said all this, my goal is to become confidence speaker and not have a bad feelings during speaking. I want to speak with confidence and not sound like I’m nervous when I’m in front of people. I’ve had more opportunity to speak in public but I didn’t because when I speak I get nervous or it looks like from publics point of view, and I want to overcome that. I think this class is an excellent way to prepare students with their public speaking skills. It is something that will stay with the students forever, and help them succeed even more.
