This week, we have some eggcellent news: an egg museum is coming to NYC! In addition, the new Carl’s Jr. in Chelsea falls flat and Serendipity 3 celebrates St. Patrick’s Day.
Feeling lucky? Serendipity 3’s “Luck of the Irish Super Sundae,” is a sugary concoction that was introduced for St. Patrick’s Day. Decked out with all green everything, including green velvet cake, mint chocolate chip ice cream, green whipped cream and more, you might need the luck of the Irish to finish this sundae.
“Uniformly awful”: The first Carl’s Jr. in Manhattan isn’t a hit, Eater NY writes. Despite being open for over a month, the restaurant was consistently empty the three separate times Eater visited.
Eggcellent: There’s a museum dedicated to eggs coming to NYC! Opening on April 7, The Egg House is located on the Lower East Side and introduces visitors to Ellis, a personified egg character whose new home is located in NYC.
EVENT: This spring, baseball fans have the opportunity to taste all of the specialty foods offered at ballparks across the nation at MLB’s new food festival, FoodFest. Being held the third weekend in April in New York City, FoodFest promises to bring one specialty item from every ballpark in America.
We all scream for ice cream! Free ice cream, that is. On Tuesday, March 20, Dairy Queen will be giving away free small cones to celebrate the first day of spring!
