Ideally, we would be able to streamline all of the things to do for this class on one platform. Unfortunately, there are many pros and cons to manage that will require using three separate platforms. However, the below will clarify what will be used for what.

  • We will use Discord for all of our synchronous class sessions as well as group meetings and some asynchronous chat. Discord allows us to do video, voice, and text chat all at once. More information on how to get started with Discord will be available soon, but some of you may be familiar with this platform (e.g., gaming).

  • Blogs@Baruch WordPress Site. We will use our WordPress website for our course schedule, some writing assignments, links to resources and some readings, and to complete asynchronous Learning Module assignments due on Wednesdays. More information on how to get started with Blogs@Baruch will be available soon, but some of you may already be familiar with this platform (e.g., other classes you’ve taken).

  • Blackboard will be used to submit assignments and to house certain resources and readings that are not allowed to be stored on a public website for copyright reasons.
