Gun violence is a major issue in our world today. From what i have learned guns are really easy to acquire without background checks. Each year around 36 thousand Americans die from gun violence and this needs to stop. This year alone we have had many mass shootings and its getting worse and worse. These numbers keep rising because the government wont do anything about fixing the problem. Our gun control is so bad to the point people think any loud bang is a gun shot. People do not feel safe in their own neighborhood. The US has gun control, these laws are there to maintain the sale of guns so people can be safe but what its really doing is letting people buy more and more guns for hate reasons. The second amendment is not a right that lets you own unlimited amount of guns but some people have plenty. These gun are being used for hate more than it is for safety reasons. Other countries have more gun control than the US which is a reason our death rates are so high, the US needs to learn from these other countries and establish better laws for guns.

I totally agree with you Sunny because gun violence is a major issue but nothing is happening. I feel like people are always hearing the same thing on the news over and over again to the point where they’ve taken it as normal. Imagine hearing a mass shooting just happened and then depending on the race of the shooter depends on what the news says. They always find an excuse or a story instead of finding a solution. Also I understand when people say the second amendment gives the right to bear arms, but if this right is putting others lives at risk then shouldn’t we rethink something. It doesn’t make any sense always having the same issue and not doing anything about it. I also agree with you that many people don’t feel safe anymore walking out of their homes. Not only is this a problem but having a president that promotes hatred is something else that’s encouraging haters to go out and hate groups. The problem is people are arguing for guns for safety yet the highest percentage of gun use are based off of people killing themselves. I feel like the United States should ban assault rifles because it can kill so many people in less than 10 seconds. I’m just so annoyed that the government finds more excuses than solutions in problems like these. I just don’t get why, like this a clear site issue that should be resolved there always finding a way to get around it, and everytime they succeed because everyone tends to forget. People whose lives were not affected move on and just talk. But I don’t blame them because the people in power are the only who have the power to change all this. Hopefully one day someone will make a change.
