Module 8 – Monday, October 25th

Heads up: Assignment 2, the rhetorical analysis, is due in three weeks, on Monday November 15th, by 11:59 pm.

Here’s what you need to do this week (1 – 1.5 hours):
– Read from JTC:
> “Tools for Analyzing Texts,” by L. Blankenship, S. Graves, and K. Eickmeyer (pp. 101-113)

– Collaborative rhetorical analysis exercise (to do by Thursday night):

1. Download the free Hypothesis extension in your browser.
2. Go to this article, click the Hypothesis icon, log in, and join our class group by clicking this link.
3. Read my annotations and add yours accordingly. You can highlight, annotate, and respond to your classmates’ annotations. I’ll expect at least one annotation per person. Please make sure to post any annotations to our group, ENG2100 – Fall 2021 (not publicly, or we won’t see them). You can also use this great tool to annotate and highlight anything on the internet to yourself.

Friday meeting:
– We’ll discuss the readings and your responses.
– We’ll discuss the Hypothesis responses to the article.
– I’ll answer any questions about Assignment 2.
