We’re swiftly moving toward a conclusion of Project 2. In an effort to help you get to the end of it, I’m asking you to draft out two pieces of it for your Monday post: the methodology section and the graph(s). Clinking on those links will take you to a couple resources to help you complete the tasks. Keep in mind that a methodology section tells the story of how research was collected. It also explains the rationale behind an analysis; do your best to predict how you’re going to be analyzing your data. If you re-read the sample Project 2 essays I assigned a couple weeks ago, you should get a good sense of what a successful methodology section for the paper will look like.
For your graphs, aim to find a visual way to present your data as effectively and efficiently as possible. Remember, you’re following APA style for this paper, which means that graphs must be labeled and captioned according to certain conventions. Check the guidelines so you’re sure about how to present them (but don’t worry too much about the font-size specifications). (If you have trouble posting your graph to your blog as a link, try copying and pasting it, or, if you have to, taking a screenshot and uploading that.)
As always, email me with questions. Happy methodologizing!
