Hi, I am Anthony Kim and I was born in St. Vincent’s Hospital. I am Korean and my parents came to America in hope of a better life. My hobbies are playing tennis, trumpet and singing. At the beginning, I did not expect to attend Baruch. I had heard all the stereotypes of CUNY schools before. However, after a few weeks here, I have grown to enjoy the diverse community and all its aspects. There is no lack of friendly people in Baruch. It is a great atmosphere. I do not have a solid idea of what I want to do, but I do have an interest in Accounting. This school has a lot to offer and I hope to make my collegiate years some of my best.
Hey Anthony,
thank you for sharing your info! And wow, the trumpet, I’ve never known anyone who knows how to play? If you ever wanna play in class just tell me! (Or sing in class, i think it will be fun! :))
It’s great that your opinion of CUNY schools gradually change as you begin your college life. I hope that Baruch will continue to be a positive influence on you! Keep an open and optimistic mind! I’m also going into Accounting but before I came to school, my knowledge of it was simply “You have to be good in math to do it right?” At the time, i liked math so I thought, why not accounting? Yeah I know, very simple but once you start attending different classes and introducing yourself do the different clubs and information available to you on accounting, you will soon learn to understand and choose your career path wisely!
Baruch definitely has a lot to offer and it is ultimately up to you to take it or leave it! Goodluck with school! And see you monday!
