High school for me was a dynamic experience. Although difficult in many ways, I decided to shrink those memories into 8 pictures. The memories taught me life lessons and are the memories that I wouldn’t regret experiencing again. In a nutshell, the memories can be sub-divided into 3: track, school events, church.

Track played an important role to me through out the four years.  To be honest, the four years spent was stressful. I had thought of quitting after the first year but coach Reader did not allow that. Although I wasn’t great at first, I was inspired that he remembered me, knew my name. That was the start of track life. Eventually, track became my motivator in trying harder at school and get stronger physically. It was my method of testing my limits. Above all that, I got to know many friends.

Through out high school, I attended many events. The main events I decided to talk about was Asian night, prom, and graduation. During Asian night, in which we perform different Asian culture, I got to sing on stage. I sang a Korean song called “Becoming a dust” by Kim Kwang Suk. This was a significant night for me as I was able to show myself to the Asian population of the school. From freshmen to seniors, people knew who I was. And that eventually lead to prom. Getting known more,I got the opportunity to ask a girl out and had a fun night at prom. The funny thing is we go to the same college now! And after that was graduation. Like any other graduation, we slept while the principal was talking and took pictures afterward.

Finally, I was able to meet good people through church. I started believing on 2010 when a friend brought me. I made many friends, forgave enemies, and like that four years past. During the four years, the upperclassmen I cherished graduated to the adult ministry. Now that I was a senior, it was my time in graduating. I actually got to meet a past senior at Korea this summer and so we had a good time talking about the past.

And so like that was my senior life during high school. I got to say, it probably was the best year of my life.I had regrettable fun and I learned and matured. After all, that’s what high school is about.

Hi everyone, my name is Xunqing Zheng. “Shun-Ching” is how you can pronounce my first name. I feel sad when people pronounce my name wrong even thought I said “It’s okay.” I love to eat. Eating is one of the most important things in my life, that’s why I put food as background of my first slideshow.

I care a lot about my friends. I love to spend time with them. We always looking for good place around the New York City to eat together. I have always trying my best to help my friends if they need me. There are some pictures of the moments I spent with my friends.

I love ceramics but I quit the class after a semester because there were so much stuffs going on in my life. I can’t handle them all. Hopefully I can pick it up as soon as I feel less stressful. There are pictures of my ceramic class and one of my work.

Hello, I am Jialuo Zhou. I am a shy person and not good at making friends. Therefore, I always sit in a corner quietly. The first two photos were token when I was an ESL student in Baruch College. I have studied ESL program in Baruch for a year. I am very glad and lucky to be a freshman at Baruch.

I like playing computer games such as Dota 2 and League of Legends. I saw a few students post the pictures of LOL on their video, so I am looking forward to playing LOL with them. I am also a big fan of Apple Company. I love all the stuff which Apple creates. That is why I put Apple’s logo on my video. Drinking coffee is the first thing after I left school. I think coffee has already been a part of my life. I cannot live without coffee!

Hi everyone. I’m Weicai and I have a nickname Tommy as well. I’m usually the quiet and alone type of student in the class, but actually when I’m out of school, I’ve many fun interests. I cherish the time to hangout with my best friends that I’ve known since middle school. We share many hobbies together, and honestly, knowing these friends are the best thing in my life.

I enjoy watching movies and TV shows and recently I’m mesmerized by a Japanese Manga/Anime called Attack On Titan. I also love to play video games, and especially when I’m playing them with my best friends.

Even though I love to have fun time, I balance my hobbies with my hard work in school. I love to take challenge in every field. If there’s a problem, I’ll look for a solution no matter how long it takes. I also believe in work ethic. I always work hard to meet the standard I give to myself, and when I have achieved it, I’ll set a higher standard to reach.

1) Avicii-Wake Me Up. I chose this song to be first partially because it is my favorite song right and partially because I can relate to the video. In the video the girls leave their town and find a group of people which they relate with. I can relate to this because I use to feel like I didn’t fit in, until I went to high school and I finally felt like a belonged.

2)Queen-Bohemian Rhapsody. I chose this song because it is a nice combination of slow and fast music. I feel like sometimes my life is really fast past and stressful and sometimes it is slow and uneventful.

3)One Direction- What makes you beautiful. The reason I chose this song is because it reminds me of my friends and how we liked one direction junior year in high school. It reminds me of all the good times I had with them and how much better they make my life. So this song is less about how it represents me and more how it represents my friends, which mean allot to me.

4)Vanessa Carlton-A thousand Miles. This song represents my childhood dream of becoming a singer. I use to sing this song all the time, hoping that one day I would have my own music video, but that dream died when I realized that I cannot sing. It represents when I stopped dreaming of singing and started dreaming of becoming a teacher, more realistic goal.

5)Backstreet Boys- I want it that way. I chose this song because this song played multiple times at my first communion. It reminds me of that day, and how proud I was of myself for going through my religious education. My first communion was important to me because it represent my faith (I’m Roman Catholic) which means allot to me.

6)September-Satellites. This song was really popular when I was in Poland. It reminds me of the time I spent in Poland with my family. It represent the summers that I miss in Poland and how I can not wait to go back and visit my family there.

7)Baauer-Harlem Shake. This song reminds me of when I was in Italy on my senior trip.It reminds me of that because we did the Harlem shake in Rome. It represent my desire to travel the world with my friends some more. I especially want to travel to Europe some more

8)Dada Life- So Young So High. This song represents my first EDM rave that I went too. It represent my desire to go to more, and to not take life so seriously because I am still young and have many ore years left to worry about the small things.

9)Zedd-Lost at Sea. This song represents how I sometimes like to break loose with my friends and live in the moment.

10) Swedish House Mafia- Don’t you worry child. This song represents how I have a tendency to over think things and that it would be best if I sometimes learn to just stop worrying.

This slide show represents how I feel about my life. I try not to take any one aspect of my life too seriously because I feel that if I take it too seriously, it wouldn’t turn out as great as if I looked at it in a relaxed point of view. I try to be imaginative in school, work, and even in my leisure time.

Although I put in effort in school, I put in just as much effort when going out and working on side projects because it’s important to me to have just as much fun and to turn ideas into reality.

no.1 The first song is “It’s my life” by Bon Jovi.  This song brings me a lot of memories, the first time that I sang in front of people, it was this song that I did sing, it was a really great day, it feels like it was yesterday although, it was about 4-5 years ago.  This song for me is a motivational song, I used to listen to it while I was working out and it pushed me to keep going.

no.2 “just want you to know” by Backstreet Boys.  This is one of my favorite songs by them, I am really having fun singing to it when I am home alone, it feels really nice, is like rocking out but in a not loud way.

no.3 “Dream On” by Aerosmith, This song reminds me as the title say to dream on, until my dream comes true.  I always look forward for the good ones, though nightmares also come true.  I am a big fan of Aerosmith and I like plenty of their songs, I also used to listen to them while I was working back in my country.

no.4 “You rock my world” by Michael Jackson.  Michael Jackson, is undoubtedly one of my all time favorite performers.  This is one of the songs that I am listening, singing and dancing a lot, I love its’ beat, it’s like a part of my daily life.

no.5 “Empire State of Mind” by Jay Z and Alicia Keys.  I always wanted to come to New York since I was like 9 years old.  I used to listen to this song when I was back in my country and thinking of me being in New York City.  Now, that I am in NY, it feels a bit weird to listen to it.

no.6 “Fly Away” by Lenny Kravitz.  Sometimes, I just want to fly and get away from everything, any problems or things that I must deal with.  When I am at a situation like this, I’m listening to this song.

no.7 “Let It Roll” by Flo Rida. This song reminds me that I have to enjoy life to the max, enjoy every single moment and let the good times roll.
