Falling Asleep in Class

When college first started, I was extremely motivated to do well and try my hardest to achieve a 4.0 GPA. I still am motivated to do well, but definitely not as much as when college began. As we got further into the semester, I realized how boring some of my classes can be; such as Art History and Psychology. It became very hard for me to stay awake in those classes. Coffee barely helps. I feel tired, drained and as if there was a force dragging me down. I never fell asleep in class throughout high school, so it was different to me when I started falling asleep in college. All of a sudden when class ended, I would feel bursts of energy as I walked out the door. I would socialize with great energy as if I wasn’t tired throughout the whole class. This is very strange to me! This “meme” perfectly demonstrates how I’ve been feeling in class since college started. Overall, I’ve been doing well in school despite falling asleep in class. I made such amazing friends, mostly people from my block! I’ve had a fantastic experience at Baruch so far! I couldn’t have asked for a better first semester and I cannot wait to experience what’s to come in the next four years.
