Playlist!! Sean Brock

Most of the music I listen to is in Japanese so it wasn’t that easy to find the songs I listen to that represent who I am, but I did (and don’t worry, there are links to the English lyrics). Some of the songs included (Great Pretender, Morning Dreamer, StargazeR, My Song) show how I prefer living in my own world and drift off to wherever my imagination takes me. “No Thank You” shows that I love being young and take pride in it. “SandStorm” shows how I am very energetic, but have control over it, rather than just running around in circles all day long (DUDUDUDUDUDU *if anyone understands this, I love you*). “Thousand Enemies” shows how I have no care for roadblocks or anything standing in the way of what I think is right. If I believe in it, nothing will stop me, and I mean nothing, despite how shy I am. “Heart Goes Boom!!” represents how, despite my innate shyness, I still find ways to show who I am, and how I am important. The last two songs, “Ai Kotoba” and “Ichiban no Takaramono” are my favorite songs ever, and represent my softer/cutesy side. They help me to relax and go off into my own world, and also get me to think about what my life will be like when I relearn what love is.

  1. Sean,

I am so sorry that this was still not commented on- perhaps an oversight on the breakdown of students for the course. GREAT job! Thank you providing this information. I like your selections and am interested in learning more about this genre.
