NO-CARD

Blog Post #4

I have had a really enjoyable first semester. I got involved with the Women in Business club here at Baruch, and it has seriously been one of the best decisions I have made. I have met so many people both in WIB and in other clubs who are so open and forthcoming with advice. They answer my “freshman” questions without making me feel silly. I really like how you can find your own niche here because there are so many people. I love planning events and meeting new people and at Baruch there are endless amounts of opportunities to do both!

NYT Blog: Consumer Technology

My group and I chose consumer technology as our theme. Our audience could relate to it and we all use some form of it where it be a computer, tablet, video game, or something else. We chose articles that related to this theme, by each choosing an article that appealed to our interest in consumer technology.

My role in this project was discussing how consumer technology on a national level is evolving. I also was responsible for the linking Baruch to our theme.

News literacy is extremely important. It is important to be aware with what is going on in the world. You can find current events on practically any topic that interests you.

Being Afra…

Life is about randomness. It’s about having an amazing time and not regretting a single moment. I love taking photos. Here is but a few.

I spent so much time in Zuccotti Park over the past four years. People may know it as the home to Occupy Wall Street, but it will forever be my lunch spot and the spot where I hung out with friends after school.

Friends, they’ll stick with you through thick and thin and be the dearest. Friends are important to me, and I’m not talking about the people I talk to. I’m talking about the people that will put up with my self-doubt, with my annoying antics, and be there to tell me I’m making a stupid decision.

I have the worst sweet-tooth ever. 99% of the time I won’t turn down a sugary treat.

Henna is amazing. I like having it done! Though it smells awful, the right design can be breathtaking.

Candles, they smell good, at least most of them do. Just watching the flame dance around even when it seems like the air is static is beautiful.

TEN POINTS FOR GRYFFINDOR! I love everything Harry Potter and I love socks.

Burgundy is my new obsession. Burgundy shoes, burgundy trousers, burgundy lipstick, burgundy nails and burgundy satchels. I think my friends and family are ready to through me out the window if I mention that color again.

Until next time…
