College Life

This basically sums up the college life for me. Everyday since the start of college, college has never left my mind, it has left me with countless amounts of sleepless nights, and last minute essays. I can pretty much say the only thing that kept me sane throughout my first semester as a freshman is having the friendships of Daniel, Roy, and Ethan. We spent countless amount of money on unnecessary things but we had a bond and made everything meaningful.

Mishkin Art Gallery

The Art Gallery was an interesting trip, especially since it was only a block away. It was interesting to me because the tour guide had mentioned a couple of things that were familiar to me, since i had taken an art class in high school, I knew most of the things he was talking about. I’m not a great artist but I do understand the concepts of art and the hard work and progress that goes into every painting. I really wished it would have been a tour on Jean-Michel Basquiat instead, that woulda lead to a more interesting and engaging tour being that Basquiat was naturally a graffiti artist. Overall, I think the experience was good but would have been great had it been more engaging.

New York Times Technology

My team chose technology because we saw how it influenced a lot of people today, not just general people, but Baruch students as well. It plays major roles in our lives, but positively and negatively and we decided to explore those roles. The articles I chose related to the negative roles of technology, with a little bit of positivity. My article was about people spending too much time on technology that brings them games, so they are then pushed away from more important things in life. I also spoke about how technology is becoming so advanced that its starting to take more and more jobs away from the people who need them.

Alberto Morillo Blogpost

These are/were the most important important aspects to my life all because they had many diverse but good meanings towards me. From graduating my baseball team to graduating from high school, these were very significant to me. I play baseball, as an outfielder, and my idol is Brett Gardner because of his speed and ability to track fly balls. Alex Rodriguez was always one of my favorite hitters, even through the fire and flames, I still love seeing his batting style. Graduating high school was another important thing for me because I did not want to be part of the fifty percent of kids in my neighbor hood that drop out of high school every year, I want to be more than that. Those signed baseballs were from Mark Teixeira, who currently plays for the New York Yankees, and I got lucky for getting both of them signed. The little kid is my little nephew Darian and other than college, he is probably the most important thing in my life right now. He’s 7 months old now, but you would think he is a one year old the first time you meet him. That’s my lil           homie and he be holding it down.
