I came to college thinking if I did fine in high school without studying, I should also be fine in college. That was a big mistake. Earlier this semester, on the nights prior to my first exam, I decided to sleep early instead of studying or looking over my notes. This was my first college exam and I failed (looking back I don’t think I did too bad considering the fact that I didn’t study and had a hard time paying attention in class). After this experience, I learned the importance of studying for a college exam and passed my second exam. Within these three months at Baruch I came to realize the differences between college and high school, and the sacrifices I need to make in order to do well.

I remember when I first came to Baruch I didn’t like it and wanted to transfer, but in these few months I slowly learned to adapt and adjust. My first semester here has been a learning experience, and I am looking forward to what next semester will bring. Thank you Sammy and best of luck to everyone in LC18.
