“Students Accused of Cheating Return Awkwardly to a Changed Harvard” by Richard Perez-Pena

I believe that both the professor and the student were at fault for this issue. The professor can’t give a take- home final exam and expect the students to not cheat. The final exam is probably worth a large portion of the students’ final grade. Although morally wrong, it is in the students’ nature to cheat in an attempt to achieve the best grade they possibly can. It was rumored that the professor gave a harder exam because he was under pressure from his superiors. It is not right that the professor created an easy- going environment  in the classroom the whole entire semester, only to doom the students to failure with an impossibly hard final exam.
