Hello everyone, my name is Jessica Lin and welcome to my very first blog. So now that you’ve already become familiarized with my name, you may wonder who is this person? As you can see in the pictures, I love listening to music, particularly Korean pop. The reason why I prefer listening to music in another language is because nowadays, it seems like American songs are all violent or use excessive profane language. By not understanding what the artist is saying, it allows me to truly focus on the singers vocals and the rhythm of the music. In the slideshow, the background music may sound confusing to you because it is, in fact, Korean. This song is played in one of my favorite Korean dramas, “Gap Dong.”
The picture of the family represents that I love my family and we are close. Most teenagers that I know don’t even talk to their parent, but I am very close to my mother, especially.
The sun doesn’t represent that I am very bright and I have a positive attitude. Rather, it represents that I am a morning person. I love to watch the sun rise in the morning.
The food picture rather speaks for itself. Who doesn’t love food?!
I played volleyball throughout high school and it is my one and only favorite sport.
At home, I like to rewind and relax by watching TVB. TVB is basically a television show that Chinese people (who speak Cantonese) watch.
The piggy bank represents that I do not excessively spend my money and I tend to save it.
In the future, I hope to work in a business office similar to the one in the picture. During my time at Baruch, I hope to obtain either a finance or marketing degree.

These eight pictures don’t completely summarize who I am, but it certainly shows some of my personality.
