not bad

I honestly in the beginning was not excited to go to Baruch at all. I was planning on going to a different college, but because of financial reasons had to change last minute. However, I like Baruch a lot more than I thought I would. I really do, I’m glad that I’m here.  So that’s why I chose this meme ^ LOL. I really was impressed.

But really I have to put one more meme because there’s that one teacher (I know you all know which teacher it is) that’s like

sloinugh……….

Feelings I don’t understand- Soo Jin Lee Guys I’m sorry I don’t know how to fix the spacing

Feelings confuse me

Not the feelings of

Happiness

Sadness

Being nervous

Excited

Those are the feelings that hits you with a label

You know where it comes from

And how to respond

You don’t have to wonder how it got there

But what about those feelings in-between

The feelings that I can’t describe

The feelings that no one can label

How do you put a label on a feeling

When you’re laying in bed

And you’re thinking

And thinking

Thinking about

Yesterday, today, tomorrow

Overthinking

Then suddenly

You can’t seem to remember when you invited these thoughts into your mind

And then the universe- that at first just consisted of you and your bed-

Seems to expand and collapse all at once

That feeling when you put on a shirt

And then a different shirt, and then something else

And you can’t decide

Whether

You hate the shirts

Or that you hate every shirt on you

When you have already realized how something will workout

But you can’t stop

Just can’t give up

It’s not that easy

It’s like wanting to deceive yourself

And you fail until the very end

That feeling

On the days that you wake up

And it’s quiet

And it’s dark outside

And you don’t know whether or not you want to try today

There are also other feelings

That I can’t label

Or describe

It’s when

When I go to prayer on Saturday mornings

And it’s still dark when I close my eyes

And while I’m in conversation

It’s something that I can’t explain

But I open my eyes to see the rays of sunshine seeping through

There is no way to fully describe

That moment I hug someone tight

And when I smile so hard

That my eyes start to tear

And cheeks begin to hurt

Words seem to escape me

When I try to explain to someone

How winter smells

And how it reminds me of when I was little

Of when I used watch my grandpa kindle the fireplace

And I would sit there for hours listening to the fire crackle and pop until I fell asleep

Feelings confuse me

I don’t understand

How something so basic

Can expand so far

And be so different

Little the sibling

I’m going to start off my post with my family. My brother is someone especially important to me. When we were younger we used to fight a lot but all of that has died down and now we’re civil human beings. We’re really close for siblings

Spiritual BFFS

These are my church friends. I’ve grown up with them over the course of the last 5 years. They’re the people who have seen me at my worst and at my best. They are continually supporting me (and vice versa). They’re family.  Religion is very important to me, it’s something that I hold really close to my heart.

BFFS

My schools friends. I met them all freshman year of high school, and they’re all still with me now. We’re all going to different colleges but we still keep in contact. Seriously these are the people that I can see myself talking with for the next 20 years and on.

The City

I love living in New York. I was born in NY, but growing up I moved around a lot. My last move to NY halfway through the 6th grade was my 8th move. And of all the places, NY is my favorite place to live. I love how accessible everything is and the independence that I get from the train and the bus system. I would not want to live anywhere else. This was taken from Brooklyn!

The sibling

This summer my brother and I went on a mission trip to innner-city Philadelphia. This event has given me a lot to think about and has changed my perspective volunteer work and how often I should do it. It’s now going to be a yearly thing between my brother and I.

precompetitionWTP

This is my We The People team! A big part of my high school career was my competition teams. I was on 4 different debate teams and those really set the course of my reasoning skills, thinking skills, public speaking, and even what I want to study in college. My major is Political Science/Public Affairs. It’s because of these teams that I found out what I was passionate about.

New heights

Music, I like it. This is a concert that I went to (New Heights and Clara C)

caffinefix

Food, I like food too. I like all types of food. But I really cannot stand the taste of raspberry ): This was at Caffeine Fix in Queens
