I always heard college would be extremely different from high school, but for me college has been high school 2.0. I still commute to school and the workload isn’t much more than it used to be. The thing that is different is that I have to be more responsible for my learning. There usually aren’t reminders for assignments and if not planned properly, you could be bombarded with unknown work from multiple classes. After the first 3-4 weeks of college, I got an app for organizing all my work so I am doing a better job of managing my workload. This is a huge improvement for me and I’m thankful to Baruch for that because it has been helping me with other things as well.
College has definitely been great because theres’s less instruction time and so I can go to the gym, read on my own, and do things on my own time. Thanks to this, I have had a pretty good time so far. However, with all of my final exams and papers approaching, I feel as if this smooth sailing will come to an end before the semester does.
