http://slide.ly/view/9c99120f066fddc7ceb42c0909cc93e1

Hey! I am Leslie Chen. This is a slideshow of some of the important people and highlights of my life. I really enjoy playing volleyball and drawing. Music also helps clear my mind when there’s a lot going on. Music, playing volleyball, drawing, and spending time with my friends and family help me escape stress and just relax and enjoy life. My friends, family, team, and church are precious to me and influenced my life and the decisions I make. Without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today! (:

1) Drawing : Here is a picture of a drawing I drew last year of food. Not only is the picture of something else I love, it is also a hobby that I enjoy doing during my free time. When I am stuck somewhere and don’t have anything to do, I would doodle or draw something. I love drawing, ever since I was little.

2 & 3) Volleyball : Volleyball is one of the biggest factors of my life. It helped me open up to many people who I have become really close friends with. This is a picture of me with my volleyball team in high school.

This is a picture of my church’s volleyball team. We all enjoy playing this sport and have fun helping each other and coming together every week. Everyone is very supportive and is always there for me.

4) Best Friends : Here are a picture of me and some of my closest friend since middle school/intermediate school. We stuck together for more than 7 years and we are  still great friend till this day and into the future. They are really fun to be with and encouraging. It’s always great to have reunions and catch up on how we are, especially since we all attended different schools.

5) Church : This is a picture of me with some of my teammates/church members at our summer retreat last year. I love my church and everyone in it. It is a place where everyone can be very comfortable being who I am and to just goof around. Everyone at church is like my second family.

6 & 7 & 8) Priceless Memories : These are pictures of some memories I made. Eating Melt ice cream sandwiches, tutoring my friend in Russian, and just making weird faces for pictures. The smallest things could be the most precious and priceless.

“Happiness is a journey not a Destination”

Obviously I added more than eight pictures in my slideshow, because I   I needed more. II’m a very easy going person and I really love meeting new people and just making new connections. The”hakuna matata” picture basically describes what I’m working towards. I used to be very stressed out and worried about unnecessary things and now I just look for the little joys in life.  I think my positive attitude has a lot to do with my love fro nature, because that helps me relax. If I didn’t go to the park or go outside to look at the trees or hear the birds, I think I would die. Yes, It’s that serious. I’m a tree huger, sue me. I love to take part in environmental causes and I’ll probably be at he the People’s Climate change walk this Sunday . I know I’m in a business school and I’m thinking about an accounting major, but I love nature and my dream is to work in the United Nations Environmental Program  and be a part of a more beautiful world.  When global warming and the green house effect was a big deal, I was one of those people giving out flyers to “help save the world”. I love nature and it’s a huge part of my life. Do not litter around me. My best friends are in a few of the pictures and they are just some the best people I encountered in my short life.  As you can see from the pretty messy picture of my room, that’s what it looks like during the week, and I clean on the weekends. I’m a very neat person, but I get super messy sometimes. In life too, I think it’s okay to make mistakes and sometimes what we think is a huge mess is actually benefiting us. I like to look at my obstacles as teaching moments.  This is one of the most important lessons I learned while being in student government. It was really an eye opener and really changed my views on a lot of things. I love my life and I don’t regret anything. Yes, I’m a happy person, I believe in karma so I’m nice to most people and people are generally nice to me.

Who I Am: Jason Huang

http://slide.ly/view/767af84746595216cfc66d4538af99a5

Hey, I’m Jason! From Queens New York.

born in china as hao huang.

1: The first and second photos are pictures of my friends and I. The first one was taken at a friend’s barbecue earlier this summer and was probably the biggest meet up I had with mutual friends. My friends are a big part of my life and even though none of them go to Baruch, I’m hoping to make friends that I can be proud of.

2: The second photo is a picture of some of my close friends and I, taken earlier in April. Long boarding was a hobby that lead to me being friends with them although since then, I sold my board to pay off a ticket that I received… for “skating” in the subway platform. $100 to pay off, ahhh!  I’ll get a board again soon. skate or die, have to skate or i’ll die 🙁

3: I took the third photo from my phone because some how, my style of clothing rubs off on my friends. Fashion has always played a big part of my life, mostly because it makes me comfortable in my skin. It has also help me break out of my shell, because y’know, you gotta let people break their necks and notice you haha,

4: I like Chipotle and food in general. Chipotle is pretty good, I would eat it everyday if the consequences didn’t take such a large toll on my stomach. Chipotle also empties out my wallet pretty fast, have to stay away from it or I’m going to have many problems..

5: I took this picture of a dog in the pet store (or adoption center I forgot) about a year ago. I like dogs. Dogs are man’s best friend and I like them a lot. This one particularly, was the largest one in the window display and he/she had blue eyes and kinda of reminded me of myself. He was just chilling there, just blinked and didn’t do much but drink water for five minutes.

6: I didn’t originally live in New York City. I came here when I was 4, and I don’t even remember anything before that. I only remembered living in New York City my whole life. Almost everything in New York City can be found in other cities in the United States, but what sets NYC apart from all the other cities is the Empire State.

7: Rap music is pretty cool. This seventh photo is a photo of Yung Lean, a Swedish rapper and music producer. I like music, music is my favorite past time. If i had any opportunity in the world, I would chose to do music for a living. I enjoy listening to any genre of music, as long as its catchy or sounds good haha. I’m not really biased when it comes to artists or types of music or what era its from. Music is music man, that’s just how it is.

8: I did this to poke fun at tourists and people who pose in front of buildings in the city to take photos. Truthfully, I’m doing it better than them hehehehe. I have lots of confidence in myself.

:B

Hi, I’m John

http://slide.ly/view/989ce114f9fde93a36fcfb823a5c52d0

I chose to create this slideshow because I wanted others to see the things and people that are important to me.

1st, I believe everyone should enjoy life and by enjoying something you should absolutely be smiling. Smiles are a great way to show your enjoyment for anything in life and also they are contagious !!! (So why not smile? 🙂 )

2nd, food is the necessity of life. For me, fried rice became the main dish that I had most nights.

3rd,I would spend most of my time  using the computer either surfing the web or doing my homework. Without this invention, I wouldn’t be able to write this post.

4th, Big Bang Theory is my favorite tv show and I feel like I could connect to one certain character. This character is Penny. Whenever I’m with my friends, I’m always the one spacing out during conversations and most times I wouldn’t understand what they are saying. However, I still enjoy hanging out with my friends.

5th, baseball is the one sport I suck at but is also my favorite one. I’ve been a die heart Mets fan (unfortunately……) since I was very little and to this day I still support them.

6th, When i feel stressed out, I would go to youtube and listen to songs by T-ara. They are a korean group and my “bias” of all the groups.

7th, Google.com brings about life. The one thing I learned from high school(wooow… i did learn something. Thanks Tech!) is that Google has everything. Google.com saved me from many sticky situations during my lifetime. Without Google.com, I wouldn’t even be here.

8th, Last but not least, the season Winter is very special to me. During this season, snow tend to fall often which may cause school cancellations which is something i desperately want. During this season, I have experienced many emotions varying from excitement to sorrow and everything in between.

Thank you for taking time to read this and take care ! P.S. smile! 🙂

Who I Am: Jamie Park

http://slide.ly/view/bfab5164a198242c21ae18384733255b

Dance: I loved dancing ever since I was a little kid but it was in high school when I realized my true passion for dancing. It was then when I joined a dance club and performed on stage for the very first time.

Shopping: I love to shop! Whether it be online or at the actual store, I spend most of my money on clothes. Growing up in NYC, I am surrounded by fashion and that made a huge impact on me. I pay a lot of attention to what I wear and dress to impress.

Winter: Winter is my favorite season because it includes my favorite holiday, Christmas, and it snows! Many people may not like winter because of the coldness but I actually like it because of that. I’ll rather shiver than sweat. Winter is also the time to wear cute hats and scarves.

Karaoke: Honestly, I am not the best singer out there but karaoke is a place where I can release my stress and just have a great time. From slow ballads to jumpy dance songs, I sing everything when I go karaoke and come home with a major sore throat.

Food: Now who doesn’t love food? I am a major food lover and am open to all different kinds of food. I especially love pasta and since I am not a great cook, I enjoy going out and eating at different restaurants.

Family: Family is a huge part of my life. Although we have our ups and downs, I can’t imagine life without them and it is them who I can always go to.

Social Media: Whether it be facebook, instagram, or snapchat, whenever I am on my phone I am always on some type of social media. Social media lets me share my life with the world and connect with my friends. You can find pictures of food, scenerys, selfies (yes, I admit it I am a huge selfie queen) on my pages.

Friends: Words cannot explain how much I love and am thankful to all my friends. They are people who I can just be myself with without having to be worried about being judged. They are the people who made me the person I am today and I am so grateful to have them in my life.

Who I am – Harry Bloom due sept 18th

http://slide.ly/gallery/view/49b121fc6831d71316d6f40dd1e223a0

My name is Harry Bloom and I am a freshman at Baruch College. I chose to use a slideshow to present me. My first picture is of New York City because I am from Manhattan and I think that its a pretty defining aspect of who I am. My second picture is of a Chinese family because I am half Chinese on my mothers side. My third picture is of a white family because I am half White on my fathers side. Next is a picture of Iman Shumpert because I plays lots of basketball and am a Knicks fan. My next picture is of “Thresh”, a champion I use in a video game I play called League of Legends that I have probably spent too much of my life on trying to get better at. I love League of Legends though. My sixth picture is a picture of pork belly, one of my favorite foods. Food culture is one of the most important parts of me and food is something that I think a lot about. My seventh picture is coffee. I love coffee because it energizes me since I don’t have anymore youthful strength.  If I don’t drink any coffee I might fall asleep in class but that’s probably because I might be addicted.  My last picture is babysitting. I am a babysitter and I babysit little kids who live in my building to make spare cash so I can buy food and coffee.

Who I Am: Max

http://slide.ly/gallery/view/ec525868d45a3165165cab281ffc84cf

Maltese – Personally, I am a major dog lover and I probably always will be. I enjoy being with dogs since they’re very playful and have a good attitude towards others, by never judging first, and I like to believe I am somewhere along those lines.

Dinosaur – The T-Rex is the tallest of the dinosaurs and throughout high school I was considered to be the dinosaur because I am tall but have very small hands for a man of my stature. I like to think it’s because I’m fierce but to be completely honest I’m probably one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

Ecuador – Although I wasn’t born in Ecuador, I am an Ecuadorian at heart and talking about my country and showing others how life is over there compared to here empowers me. However, I’m not the traditional Ecuadorian since I am almost a foot taller than the average Ecuadorian.

Family – Family is very important to me. Family comes first before everything else, so having divorced parents and knowing that I will never have my family complete again hurts me constantly, and I’ve had no choice but to accept it. I have 3 half-brothers, but not a single one from my father and mother together.

Friends – Friends are great to have, but it’s better to have friends in your same interest group. That way you can make plans that are easier to agree on, which mainly involve going to the park on Saturday mornings. Going out with friends makes a person feel welcome, so I hope everyone can feel the warmth of friendship.

Leader – I hate to be behind someone, and I mean that in the literal way. Walking behind someone is very stressful when they’re slow and you have long legs and big feet like I do. Well other than walking, I’ve never had a problem in taking charge of whatever it is we’re doing and I know that you have to be harsh when you’re a leader, but it’s worth it for the common good.

Danillo Gallinari – He is my favorite basketball player. I love to play basketball because it just takes me away from this world and puts me in a different one, one that’s more spherical and entertaining. My first game was a Knicks game against the Lakers, and Gallinari put on a show that made me just realize what it meant to be a basketball player for the big leagues.

Alien – I enjoy sci-fi and all the aspects about it. I am one of those people that believe in the extra terrestrial because I find it hard to believe that in the entire galaxy that we’re the only planet with life. I like looking at the sky because there is way more than the eye can see, which is what I believe about people because everyone has something different about them.

Who I am: Steve

http://slide.ly/view/797984a8b47fb7c93289dca9049b8b18

Hello, my name is Steve Cobos and I made a slideshow of eight images that I believe represent who I am.

Food: I enjoy eating all types of food from any culture. Some foods I like are fish, chicken, and steak. I believe that food is important to enjoy because you can’t live long without it.

Fishing: One of my hobbies that I do is fishing. I like fishing because it’s very relaxing and fun when I catch fish.

Soccer: Another of my hobbies is playing soccer. I also like watching soccer on television.

Hiking: Hiking is also very fun to do. Hiking requires a lot of stamina and determination. Hiking is good exercise and is very rewarding.

Biking: I was taught how to ride a bicycle at a young age. I like to get places by using my bike because it is also good exercise for the legs. It is also a faster than walking.

Reading: Reading is one of my favorite things to do. I like reading all sorts of books like fiction, fantasy, non-fiction and everything else.

Traveling: I enjoy traveling and would like to travel the world someday. I like visiting new places and getting to know the cultures. I like learning about what’s going on in the world. Some places I would like to visit are Paris, London, Sydney, Montreal, and Vancouver.

Sleeping: I really enjoy sleeping because it feels great when you’re sleepy. Taking naps is fun to do when I’m bored or need to pass the time.

Portrayal of Oneself

https://picasaweb.google.com/106571264637053570673/20140916

Hello! I have created this slideshow which portrays a bit of who I am. This slideshow is a representation of my fondness for my family, shopping, cooking, traveling, The Halal Guys, playing video games, bowling, and riding bicycles. The first picture displays that my family is very dear to me and that I have deep affection for them. From the image, you could observe that the women are wearing hijabs which indicates  that my family is a follower of Islam. My parents mean the world to me because they have guided me throughout my whole life and when they aren’t with me at times I feel as though some part of me is missing.

To be honest, I am a shopaholic. I enjoy shopping with friends and family. They call me crazy when they see how much I spend, but what can one do to resist the temptation of buying things. I am the type of person who will go anywhere if you mention the word “shopping.” Another thing that I love to do is cook meals and bake. I take pleasure in cooking different meals with the aid of my mother. I usually bake cookies, cakes, cupcakes, pastries, pies, pudding, and brownies. Also, I like tasting different types of food, especially spicy food. In New York City. I love eating food from The Halal Guys located on 53rd street. Even though there’s always a huge line, I still wait because their food is just too good to resist. I always look forward to eating the spicy chili sauce that they provide.

Other hobbies that I have include bowling, playing video games, and bicycling. In high school, I was co-captain of the bowling team. It was an awesome experience playing against different high schools to reach the championship every year. Additionally, I play various video games in my spare time and cycle with friends around the city or parks.

Traveling to Bangladesh is something that I relish. Every time I go there, I have a great experience. I go to several beautiful sites such as Tea Gardens and resorts. I take delight in the arguing and bargaining that takes place at shopping centers. I like learning about the experiences of the poorer people and what they do in their everyday life to survive or support their families. Overall, I hope these aspects of my life has given you an idea of a Muslim girl from the Bronx named Nishat Ahmed.
