Freshman Seminar Fall 17 DFD

Absolute Adrenaline

On Thursday during club hours, I went to the general interest meeting for Absolute Adrenaline after seeing a post about it in a Facebook group. After we all took our seats, we started by doing an icebreaker in which students said an adjective and their first name while doing a gesture. After the icebreaker, the treasurer, secretary and president (pictured) of Absolute Adrenaline introduced themselves. We then played chief, a game where everyone stands in a circle and copy the actions of one person, there is one person who doesn’t know who the leader is and they try to figure out who is the leader. After the icebreaker and game, we took our seats again for the presentation. The presentation showed pictures of the original Absolute Adrenaline, trips the the group went on, and events that they held. The trips included, paintball, hiking, kayaking, and skiing/snowboarding. The events including dodgeball, archery, indoor rock climbing, laser tag, and dodgeball have big turnouts. The group also plays games during club hours. We also learned about how the group is very community oriented and centered around friendship, it is a group for people who like physical activity, and that safety, teamwork, and organisation are important to this group. Overall, I think it is a great club and look forward to being a part of it. I spoke to the president of the group, George (pictured) to learn more about the club.
