Last Thursday, I attended the Baruch Club Fair that was going on inside of the schools main gym. The whole purpose of this event was to inform students on the different types of clubs that were at the school and that there is many clubs you can choose from. As I stepped in the gym I haven’t seen such a lively event at a school. Everyone was dancing, and communicating with one another. Seeing all of the interactions everyone was having made me think to my self that I should try a club out. So that’s what I did.
I seen many clubs giving advertisements of their clubs but one stood out to me the most. Which was the West Indian Culture Club. This club stood out to me because I seen my countries flag in their advertisement, which is the Jamaican flag. So right there and then I had to learn more about them. The people who were showing off the group were so friendly. They came up to me so fast and introduced there self and asked if I was interested. I played this game which was I would have to guess the flag. It was actually very fun at first until I started to lose every time I would guess the flag. Another club that caught my eye a lot and is almost associated with the West Indian Culture Club is the Black Student Union. This club caught my attention really quick because of what the people who were advertising it was wearing. They were wearing clothing that you would see at the Labor Day Parade. Overall, the event was a total success. Because I was really informed in clubs that I was not aware that was at Baruch College. Being in a club during College seems to be the number one thing to do so you can live the college dream to the fullest.
