On a busy Thursday I’am getting ready to leave than all of sudden I hear Cardi B hit single “Bodak Yellow”. With my New York attitude I have to bust out the infamous “milly rock”. I’m not a big dancer but Baruch has a comfortable feel, I seen a few males asking females to dance with them. Even though after that song I was unfamiliar with the others I still stuck around because of the unique vibe and some curious dancing. I didn’t see much food to enjoy (no food at all maybe just the clubs) but coming from high school I was amazed that they were able to occupy the first floor and be able to play music so loudly. In fact it took me a minute to realize this was the event because in high school an official event would have never tooken place like that. After I looked up at the banner and realized that this was a event, I was still amazed because the music was more of an American origin. But I believe I came before the event officially started which would be the reason why the music was not what I was expecting. Eventually the music I was expecting did start and a circle began to form. The circle was the audience and inside the circle were the people dancing. Behind the circle were huge speakers which were obviously playing the music. I enjoyed myself at this event because I was able to get in the circle. Also Baruch made me feel comfortable so I didn’t feel awards getting in the center of the circle. All in all this was a success and is going to propel me to join future Baruch events especially ones like this (an obvious dancing or hanging out event).
