On Thursday, September 7th, I attended Ascend’s meeting. Members of Ascend were very welcoming and they even provided food. Although I didn’t get to stay for the activities, I was able to stay for the full presentation. I learned that Ascend Baruch helps students prepare for the future and develop skills in order to succeed in the business world. I got to meet all of the leaders of Ascend. Ascend consists of four committees: professional events, marketing, fundraising & philanthropy, and technology. They provided detailed information on what each committee is responsible for. They also provided information on how we can contact leaders if we were interested in being part of any of these four committees. They encouraged all of us to join. Overall, I had a great experience!

I hope you did enjoy the meeting because of what they stand for and what they do for the community. Most importantly they fed you some food, there is no legit club out there if they aren’t giving you any type of food. This doesn’t sound like something you are interested in though, so make an effort to really find a club that fulfills your interest and also meets your social needs. College is one of the hardest transitions, because it’s so different from high school. I want an update on a legit club that you enjoyed.
