For the third blog post for the freshman seminar class and for a theatre homework, I went and watched the play Arden Everywhere/the As You Like It project which was a modernized remake of Shakespeare’s play As You Like It with my friends. The show was performed at the Baruch Performing Arts Center, and it was about the refugee crisis. It was a really interesting play that showed refugees in a new light. With actual immigrants in the play that told their own individual stories about their personal experiences as a refugee, it was really informative, thought provoking and relatable.
