WIB Club Meeting

My original belief that Women in Business is a group of females arguing for female equality in the workplace was far from true – rather, it’s a safe community to expand your professional mindset.  I have already attended two meetings and can truly say I do not regret dedicating my time to them.

During the first session, members were asked to form groups to formulate methods to improve Target’s marketing toward college students, and I enjoyed expanding my thoughts as I listened to others conceive ideas related to altering the Back to School webpage and placing backpacks on Target employees during the Back to School season to model the store’s selection.

During the second session, five Baruch students provided insight on the interview process and elaborated on their experiences interning at massive corporations.

The club may target females based on the title, but they are genuinely accepting to males as well.  Their commitment to organizing events and educating the members of the Baruch community is inspiring, and I look forward to working with them in the future.
