Freshman Seminar Fall 17 LC14

SACC

In preparation for my midterm, and second exam, for calculus, I decided to take a step further in studying and seek help from another person. After studying for numerous hours alone and taking note on what I needed further assistance on, I made an appointment at the student academic consultant center. I was actually provided a very highly rated tutor, and who better to help than a student taking calculus 2, and received an A in Calculus 1. Although I am still unsure about some topics, that was not his fault. In the limited time I had during my gap, I was able to clear up some confusion on multiple topics, and complete the homework questions I was having trouble with. Hopefully his tutoring skills are reflected in my grade. This image requires alt text, but the alt text is currently blank. Either add alt text or mark the image as decorative.

Visiting the MoMA

On Monday October 30th, I visited the Museum of Modern Art, better known as the MoMA. This was my first time here and it was my first time at a museum since probably the 5th grade. I visited with a friend of mine that goes to Pace, who needed help picking an art piece for an assignment he had. We basically went through the whole museum. I don’t really have an interest in this kind of art due to its abstract nature and would much rather look at older paintings that are more realistic. It was interesting how some exhibits transitioned from being seen in the light, to entering a dark room in which some artists chose to display their art. I most likely will not visit this museum again unless I have to for another assignment. It really depends on your interests, but I would not really recommend this to my friend group in particular. This image requires alt text, but the alt text is currently blank.
